The Yale Hindu Students Council and the Chaplain’s Office will host the 12th Annual Diwali Pooja on Tuesday, November 1st in the Commons Dining Hall within the Schwarzman Center at 7 pm. Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is celebrated throughout India. Our event will begin with a half hour worship service led by the HSC Board. It will be followed by lighting sparklers on Beinecke Plaza and then a traditional Indian dinner. The event is free and open only to the Yale and New Haven communities. The doors will open at 7 pm. Seating is limited. Doors close at 7:45.
Pre-Registration will end on October 26th.
Very limited on-site registration will be available the day of the event, starting at 6:30 pm. Seats will be alloted on a first come, first served basis.
